 January 6, 2025

TOMBALL, Texas – Northwest Community Health (Harris County Emergency Services District 8) has been ranked #1 in the nation for EMS patient experience in 2024. The ranking was determined by an independent analysis conducted by EMS Survey Team (Lansing, Mich.), which evaluated 24 performance metrics for a rolling 12-month score of 97.53. This placed Northwest at the top of all EMS organizations in the national database as of December 31.

Executive Director Brian Bayani celebrated the achievement as a testament to the organization’s dedication to its mission.

“Providing exceptional service is one of our organization’s core values,” Bayani said. “This ranking reflects our team’s commitment to caring for our community. We are extremely proud of this raking and will continue striving to deliver the highest level of care every day.”

Patients evaluated Northwest Community Health’s services across five key areas: dispatch, medic, ambulance, billing, and overall experience. The organization’s benchmark scores surpassed the national average in every category. The top-scoring metrics included:

  • Extent to which medics cared for you as a person (99.14)

  • Extent to which our staff eased your entry into a medical facility (99.04)

  • Extent to which services received were worth the fees charged (98.86)

  • Care shown by the medics who arrived with the ambulance (98.44)

  • Degree to which the medics listened to you and/or your family (98.44)

The organization's Medical Director, Dr. Scott Wiesenborn, also lauded the organization's accomplishment.

"I am tremendously proud to be associated with an organization that recognizes that caring for our patients in their time of need encompasses not just medical knowledge, but also holistic care of the entire patient and their family," said Wiesenborn. "We value the faith and trust our community has instilled in us, and continually work to deserve that confidence through attitude, conduct, and accomplishments."
